What is the premium reduction?
The individual premium reduction (IPV) is cantonal support for households with a low or middle income. It reduces the monthly premiums of the mandatory basic health insurance. Studies show that many eligible people do not apply and thereby lose several hundred to several thousand francs per year.
How is eligibility calculated?
What counts is not directly your taxable income, but the income calculated by the canton. Every canton has its own rules, its own income and asset limits, and its own deadlines.
